Adult coloring books are super popular right now. Which is a good thing because now we don’t have to sneak off with our kids Hello Kitty coloring book. I’ll admit, I was never a Manga fan, Japanese comic book or graphic novel. When I saw this book, and the artwork inside I just had to get my hands on it. Camilla D’errico is the mastermind behind this hauntingly beautiful book.
Her artwork is stunning. Having worked with Disney, Hatboro and Dark Horse Comics there is no stopping this talented powerhouse.
Upon opening the coloring book me and my daughter oooh’d and ahhh’d over every page. We were instantly and completely enamored by the characters. It is completely impossible to pick a favorite picture, I couldn’t do it.
It is easy to lose track of time while coloring and there is something that is just so relaxing, it is a great stress reliever. I will give you a some advice. The pictures are very intricate so patience is key. Also, invest In a good set of artist grade color pencils. They work the best for getting into those teeny tiny places that a crayon just cannot reach. Surprisingly, Cra-Z-Art hands down the best color pencils. Invest In a good pencil sharpener also, found a good (and cheap) one at Walmart. Enjoy yourself get the kids and have a colorpalooza. This book is so much fun and definitely brought out the kid in me. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go color…
