Ladybug and Cat Noir are back for another crime fighting, high flying season with new villains. My kids are mad about this show and have been begging for me to get them the new season. I love how these two superheros use their brains to fight the baddies. Hawk Moth is back and still trying to swipe Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculous. He will stop at nothing to get them even if it means turning friends into super villains.
After defeating the villain the Magician of Misfortune Marinette notices that her Kwami Tikki is not feeling good. Tikki needs a Dr. ASAP but Marinette thinks that it would be unsafe to take her to a regular hospital. Tikki tells Marinette that she knows a healer but it will have to wait because she is late for school (Marinette). After school Adrien finally shows up and Alya (BFF to Marinette) forces her to approach him, as she does she trips and Tikki is thrown from her bag. Sabrina And Chloe stumble upon the sick Kwami and decide to give her as a gift to the Prince Ali who is visiting Paris. Chloe refuses to give it back and takes off in a limo. Meanwhile, Rose is heartbroken because she tore up the letter that she had written for the Prince. Hawk Moth seizes the opportunity and akumatizes her. Does Marinette get Tikki back in time to stop Princess Fragrance? Will Tikki be healed? Grab your copy and find out.
When Marinette finds her classmates in the library playing a video game she becomes confused. Rose tells her that it is a city wide competition between schools. Max and Adrien are playing and the winner will become Max’s partner in the competition. When Adrien wins Max becomes moody but quickly shrugs it off and congratulates him. Marinette develops a plan to spend time with Adrien, and beating Max’s score she and Adrien are now partners. Hawk Moth once again seizes the opportunity and uses Max’s anger to his advantage. He turns him into The Gamer and promises to help max win the tournament of his life as long as he helps Hawk Moth in return. Gamer now roams the streets of Paris turning its citizens into experience points and it is up to Ladybug and Cat Noir to stop him.
It’s picture day! Marinette is excited about being in the class picture with Adrien but Juleka doubts that she will even be seen. Since she was a little girl every time someone tried to take a picture of her something always got in the way. The photographer starts arranging students to get the picture ” just right “. He places Juleka front and center and Marinette comments that her ” curse ” will finally be over. Just as Vincent (the photographer) is about to taje the picture his battery dies. Hen dashes off to get a new one and instructs the students to stay put. Juleka asks to use the restroom. Chloe has Sabrins lock Juleka in the restroom so that she can be near Adrien. When Juleka finds out that she missed being in the picture she runs to the park and sits on a bench. Hawk Moth uses her sadness to his advantage and turns her into Reflekta. Walking the halls of the High School turning it’s students into mirror images of herself Reflekta must be stopped. Only problem is that Cat Noir has been turned into a exact copy of Reflekta. Who is going to save the day now?
Marinette is watching Manon and they are playing with plush toys modeled after Ladybug and Cat Noir and the villains they have defeated. Manon becomes upset when she does not when the fight and Marinette quickly tells her that the two heroes always win. Manon asks to keep a doll and Marinette agrees. However Manon’s mom tells her to give the doll back because the girl has to many toys to begin with. As the two are leaving Manon realizes that she forgot her bag and goes back for it. Upon seeing the doll she uses her ” puppy dog eyes ” and Marinette gives her the Lady Wifi doll. At the TV station while her mom is working Manon begins playing with the doll. Her mom catches her and scolds her, her mother thinks that she has stolen the doll. Manon’s mother takes the doll and orders her to stay put. Hawk Moth sensing her anger quickly turns Manon into The Puppeteer. Hawk Moth tells The Puppeteer that she can control Marinette’s dolls which will in turn control their real life counterparts. On the train Manon steals back the Lady Wifi doll and turns Alya back into the villain. What will happen? Will Alya be saved?
Some unknown force is picking on Chloe and it is taking its toll on her. She falls asleep in school and soon the unknown bully is pulling her hair and throwing pens at her. Later at home Chloe cowers behind a sofa until she hears that Ladybug and Cat Noir have arrived to help. Chloe promptly tackles Ladybug in a hug and does not leave her side. It seems that Chloe’s friend Sabrina has been hakumatized by Hawk Moth. When Chloe finds out that it is Sabrina causing all the mayhem she quickly changes into her Ladybug costume to help the two superheroes. Chloe tries to help Ladybug does not listen to her. They finally de-evilize Sabrina and save the day, or have they? Chloe is now livid at Ladybug, how dare she not listen to her. Hawk Moth takes advantage of her anger and turns her into Antibug. Antibug is the anti-Ladybug with the same exact skills and powers. How is Ladybug going to defeat someone who is one step ahead of her?
The new girl in school, Lila , seems to have everyone talking. She has her eyes on Adrien which of course makes Marinette jealous. Adrien has found a mysterious book that contains all of the Superheroes and Villains. While in the library Lila notices the book and asks Adrien about it. She manages to get an hold of the book and hatches a plan. At the park Lila meets Adrien and tells him that she to is a superhero which is a lie, she has been doing that a lot. Marinette comes to the park with Tikki who needs to get her hands on the book. While Tiki gets the book Marinette changes into Ladybug and confronts Lila. She makes Lila cry and run off which in turn alerts Hawk Moth to a new person to hakumatize. He changes Lila into Volpina who has the power of illusion. Why is this book so important? Tikki takes Marinette to someone who knows all about the book and has been searching for it for years…
I love this show as much as my kids do. It is something that I can feel good abut them watching. The messages within each episode are important and things that kids go through. From bullying to feeling invisible and left out. It impresses me that this cartoon series captivates even my two and three year old. Suitable for all ages and has very little to no violence (cartoon) and no bad words. I am definitely getting the rest of the seasons for my littles. Want to get your own copy?
