We started homeschooling last year. As parents we should be able to know that our kids are being cared for while they are in school. Long story short my kid’s school failed them both academically and keeping them safe. So, that’s what brought us to the decision to homeschool.
It was far easier setting up our homeschool than I thought it would be. Once we emailed the form and information needed it was maybe a week until we received a confirmation email. We were officially homeschoolers! The freedom is wonderful. No more rushing around in the morning, no more meltdowns it’s amazing. Having a direct impact on their education and being able to focus on their strengths and weaknesses. It is an incredibly stress free and relaxing learning environment. My almost 11 year old daughter does not do well under stress and her biggest weakness is math. Which is wonderful because my husband excels at math and is super patient. My 9 year old son has a lisp and his strength is math but reading is his weakest subject. Knowing this we can build a curriculum that will not only help but also challenge them, and it’s FUN!
Our new school year starts on September 5th. They could not be more excited. I’m actually excited too. If you want to research homeschooling the their are tons of websites dedicated to the subject. Laws differ from state to state so a good place to start is with your state’s public school website. Another good website Here. Hope that you found this information useful. Do you homeschool?
