For the record, I personally, loved the new Ghostbusters movie. This book incorporates the characters into it in such a unique and fun way. The cover art is clearly phenomenal and I proudly display my little treasure on my bookshelf.
The very beginning of the book actually gives some fascinating information on the paranormal, I love ALL things involving the subject. As you read it slowly starts integrating the movie and its characters into the book. Truly a must have read for the supernatural buff and for anyone who loves the Ghostbusters franchise. It is as if you are in the same room with the characters themselves, shooting the breeze, hyping up your most memorable “catch”.
It’s a fun read that ties in well with the movie. I found it utterly hilarious that they have John Belushi listed as a Class IV that haunts the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood. Abraham Lincoln also a Class IV is referred to as “the White House Ghost” because he haunts the…White House. Finally, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, another Class IV inhabits a cleaning woman’s body in order to tell his daughter, Mary, that he had died. The sections while be informative, are incredibly funny. I thoroughly enjoyed it, two thumbs up.
Side Note, with Halloween yipping at our heels wouldn’t it be a blast to dress up as the “arthurs” and go around trying to get random people to tell you about their experiences with the paranormal… I think it would be a hoot.
I received this book from, Blogging For Books, for this review.
